burn:

I’m one hundred ninety pounds now, since a week ago. Yay. I actually feel like this was easier than 170-180, or 160-170. I Also feel like my body fat percentage is about the same or lower, despite stuffing my face full of food.

I guess I hit 180 in January (according to my own tumblr (now you see why I do these things)). It wasn’t til March that I started at my current gym, after a terrible experience trying out various gyms. I’m actually not totally happy at my current one; it’s like the guy deciding what shit to buy and where to put it has never actually exercised before. At the very least it’s really quiet though. I gots to gets my Zen on.

I still can’t stop constantly editing my routine though. I’m getting better about it, and I think most of my edits are for the better. Most recently: cutting out as many isolation exercises as possible and replacing them with compound exercises. It might be better for me to pick a routine from the internet, but there’s just such an orgy of choice, I feel like it would be even harder to stop constantly changing my mind. All the bro-discussion (broscussion?) gets to me too. “DUDE BRO YOU GOTTA TAKE THIRTY PILLS A DAY BROHEIM” “BRO DUDE THAT ROUTINE WILL NOT GIVE YOU RIPPED LATS” “DUDE HEY BRO NO HOMO BRO DUDE DUDEBRO” There’s so much noise, it’s much easier to go my own way. I wish I had an occasional personal trainer I could check in with or something, but I don’t really know of any, or where I could go that’s good for that. The end

More than I’d like to build, but I feel sorta the same way about working out. I started putting together my routine from a book, and I had only been doing it for a couple months before I started overhauling vast portions of it. In the end, it’s pretty specific from person to person, I think.

Also, yes, I’d like a personal trainer to talk to about it at some point too. Every time I just try to add something new or work muscle groups in a different way, I think, “What if I’m majorly screwing this up? Oh well.”
